July 4th, Family reunion, and Vernal

After the LONGEST trip, 9 hours to be exact. A broken down car, bumming rides from friends and family and juggling through 3 cars we finally made it to Vernal and had a great time once we got there.
We hit the ground running, literally. Dad and I ran the Neola half marathon that morning. 1:56
Then headed back to Vernal for the Parade
Had Popsicles at grandma Roses
Went to the Dinosaur museum
Had a bar-b-que
Kids played with pop-its, these were the favorite
Set off a few fireworks
Went to the city fireworks, Parx did much better than last year, he started out covering his eyes but after a few minutes was peeking out to see what was going on.
The next day was the family reunion which was way fun, the little kids had a fish pond where the little boys won water guns and chased everyone around with the rest of the night. We had an adult water balloon toss (and it was so fun to watch grandma and grandpa Merkley do it).
Playing at grandma's, and with Kiera and in the water
Went to Remember the Main and of course threw rocks in the river, Parx taught Tessa how to do that.
Our last day we went to the lake and had a blast! Parx loved riding on a boat and did great on the tube also, even though he covered his eyes on that too. But his favorite was just playing in the sand getting dirty.
I really love going to Vernal and spending time with our family that is out there, and we always have a good time even if getting there is such a pain!

This was the day we were suppost to leave
but instead we ended up at the Dr. with a
sore throat. He was so sick when we got home
he just camped out on the floor.

My GOLDEN Birthday

After having such a fun birthday last year I was a little nervous this one might not be as good or whatever since in the pass it always seems to go back and forth between good one year lame the next but  This year since I turned 27 on the 27th which made it my "golden" birthday I was determined to beat this rule and just like in life I feel like it is what you make of it.
So I made it a great day along with the help of my family and friends sending my cards and sweet text messages and Dave getting my flowers, massage (also for Christmas and Mothers Day) and a nice, sweet card. All things I asked for but hey I'll take it.

I'm not really sure what this first quote says about me.... I think I apply to all of them in a way:) Either way I liked it.

The old believe everything;
The middle aged suspect everything:
 The young know everything.

The older I get
the more
Clearly
I remember
things that
 Never
happened!

My sister sent this to me and I thought it was so funny! Thanks Meg
Photo: Haha I had to share this one too:) cuz it's totally true!

I wish this picture wasn't blurry. He looks so stinking cute, and
I love how Parx has his arm around Dave.
