Since Dave doesn't love all the fall activities, Parx and I headed to the pumpkin walk with a few friends. It was good as always. They had a lot of cute sets. Parx was as attentive looking at everything and everyone there. He is becoming more aware of things and people, its really fun watching him learn. And I actually really liked going during the day.

Later Markelle and her boys came up with Veronica and her little lady. It was so fun to see those girls and kids. Its crazy to see all of us as moms now. It doesn't feel like it was that long ago we were running around causing trouble. But it was fun to get our kids together and let them play, hopefully they will become friends like we were so we have even more reason to see each other.

* i just have to say taking pictures with more than one kid is a joke. when one is looking the others aren't. But either way it's worth it. They are still so cute.

I sure love fall. The smells, the colors, the weather, the activities. Everything. So we have been trying to enjoy it as much as we can.

Vernal

We took a quick trip to Vernal this last weekend to visit the family. It was really fun, we made Grandma Carries homemade apple dumplings and they were AMAZING! Dad and Gpa were as happy as a clam with their dumplings. I don't think I have ever seen my dad coming up the stairs as fast as he did when called for those.
We also spent time visiting with the grandparents which was nice because usually we are rushed for time and don't get to just sit and talk.

I loved Neil L. Andersen talk on Children. Some of my favorites were:

The point he made about how children don't care how much money you have or what they come home to as long they are loved and taken care of and how that is our duty.
In the most beloved story of a baby’s birth, there was no decorated nursery or designer crib—only a manger for the Savior of the world.

Many voices in the world today marginalize the importance of having children or suggest delaying or limiting children in a family. My daughters recently referred me to a blog written by a Christian mother (not of our faith) with five children. She commented: “[Growing] up in this culture, it is very hard to get a biblical perspective on motherhood. … Children rank way below college. Below world travel for sure. Below the ability to go out at night at your leisure. Below honing your body at the gym. Below any job you may have or hope to get.” She then adds: “Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for.”

Having young children is not easy. Many days are just difficult. A young mother got on a bus with seven children. The bus driver asked, “Are these all yours, lady? Or is it a picnic?”

“They’re all mine,” she replied. “And it’s no picnic!”

As the world increasingly asks, “Are these all yours?” we thank you for creating within the Church a sanctuary for families, where we honor and help mothers with children.

“Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth … him that sent me."

What a wonderful blessing we have to receive sons and daughters of God into our home.

Families are central to God’s eternal plan. I testify of the great blessing of children and of the happiness they will bring us in this life and in the eternities.

7 Months

For real? Time is flying by and I can't stop it, so were just trying to enjoy the ride and keep up! We sure love this little boy (incase you didn't know already).

  • Currently he has THREE, count them 3 teeth.
  • Would rather be sitting up than on his belly. I'm sure that's why he's not crawling.
  • Scooting backwards and in a circle.
  • Dad can make you giggle more then anyone, but in the same min have you crying from roaring at you with your lion??
  • STILL love your bouncer, you follow mom back and forth from room to room.
  • You cry when mom leaves the room ( I love that your a mama's boy at least for now)
  • Still not sleeping through the night, you cry for your binky and then go right back to sleep.
  • Love being outside and looking at the trees. taking walks.
  • You are becoming so wiggly when we hold you you squirm and want down or whatever is just out of reach

I think being a mom and having a family has been on my mind a little more since conference and all the great talks about it, but seriously I don't know if it's possible to love someone more than we do him.

This blog is for our lives and right he is the center of our life so I will carry on...
