Spring Break

Well this last week was a busy one we did a lot of driving and spent a lot of time with family. Because it was Dave's spring break he wanted to head down to St. George spend some time with his brother and relax. So that's just what we did, but before we got to that we first stopped in Orem to support my little bro in being ordained an Elder which is so Awesome Im so proud and happy for him! And then headed to Vernal to my Uncle's funeral which wasn't so awesome but its always nice to spend time with the family and at a time like this you really remember what is important. I am so grateful for the family I have and the love and support we give to each other. My cousins are almost as close as actual siblings which made it a lot harder to watch them lose their dad but made me so glad I could be there for them when they needed us most. We love you guys!
After this we were really ready for some rest and relaxation so on to sunny St. George we went. We didnt do a whole lot down there but that is just what Dave wanted.. we went to the pool, took some walks, watched some baseball games,hung out with some friends and family,and did a little shopping, oh and how can I forget.. ate and ate(I feel like thats all I did). All in all we had a good time. And now we really cant wait for some warmer weather and summer,I tried to bring it home with me. But its coming I promise its just in the southern part of the state!!

Funny Man!!

On Friday night one of the funniest guys was good enough to come to little old Logan and make us laugh our butts off. (Oh how I wish this was really true, how great would it be if you could really laugh your butt off. If you could really lose weight by laughing it would make everyone happy and healthier its a win, win. If only!) Anyway.. We were able to go see Brian Regan and have a great time maybe not enough to lose our butts but make our faces sore from laughing.

You would think that Dave would look a little more excited to be there cause of how much he likes this guy.

We would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good laugh. Unless your my sister-in-law Michelle:)

So I'm sorry if my blog description offends anyone, but this is what our blog is called around our house (by Dave, I would never..) I'm always hearing... are you on the ___ blog again or my homework is more important than that___ blog so anyway I thought I would make him happy and title it accordingly so....
PS please don't think any less of my wonderful husband he is just like anyone else but has colorful words once and awhile.

Valentines Day 2009!

So I haven't always been a big fan of Valentines Day but since Ive been married I think its nice to have a "special" day to show your spouse how you feel about them. So this year I was in charge of V-Day and so after Dave got off work we went to lunch at Quizno's(Dave's favorite),then went shopping with my little sister and her boyfriend and ended the night hanging out with my family... I know what your thinking not your average V-Day that's what Dave thought also. He told me I didn't set the bar very high for next year... little did he know.
On Monday I pick him up from work like usual and told him I have one more surprise and asked him to close his eyes when he opened them we were standing in the Biker Roadhouse at the Anniversary Inn. It was great he was so surprised and had to take back what he said about the bar being set for next year. We had a great time it was nice to relax and enjoy each other plus it is such a fun room it has a pool table and a pinball machine. And don't worry Dave got just what he wanted.. a Texas Longhorn blanket, and a love candy poster! We had a wonderful Valentines and a looking forward to next year when Dave is in control. Ha I'm sure he is open of suggestions if anyone has some good ones!

Busy, Busy!

Shredding the Beav, Ute Pride, Super bowl Sunday and a new little Merkely!!

So last Thursday me and a couple of friends from work headed up the mountain to refresh our mad boarding skills or should I say lack there of... either way we had a great time hanging out and visiting. By our last run we were actually feeling pretty good about our skills ;) but had to call it quits because we couldn't handle one more ride up the lift in the freezing cold wind. Either way we had a Blast and might try it again sometime.






Next I got to head down to Provo for the weekend to watch my AWESOME little sisters drill team state competition which they won, that's right your looking at the 3A State Champions! Whoot Whoot!! I am so proud of her she is a wonderful dancer and worked so hard to get where she is, she put in so many hours and sacrificed so many things so its awesome to see the pay off she gets. I love you Megan your such a Great girl!!








Plus I have to give a shout out to the DDY (Drill Dad of the year) yes my Dad got nominated the drill dad of the year for yelling and clapping the loudest, given it was award by the moms that were just sitting around us but I will 2nd that nominee he even split the skin on his hands from clapping his hands so hard and loud. He is very supportive of all of his kids and takes pride in everything we do, (both my parents do they are Wonderful) I love you guys!! Again Congrats Meg! Go UTES.



Then on Sunday when I got home we headed over to Sid (bro) and Michelle's (sis-in-law) to watch the Super Bowl we had a good time relaxing, eating, sleeping, (just me)
oh yeah and watching the game. But really lets be honest the best part of the day was the hour long episode of the office after the game. I know Sid and Michelle would have rather spent super bowl Sunday in the hospital having the baby but she held out till Tue. morning around 5 when she final had baby Brock but either way we had a good time hanging out and Congrats on the not so little guy (8 lbs 15.4oz) he is a doll!!

Happy New Year!!

To ring in the new year we spent the night with some of our friends eating dinner and playing games. We had a great time and our proud to say we are the 2 time champs of the amazing race. Thanks guys for putting on a rocking party!!









Then we spent New Years day relaxing, laying around, and with family. Dave parents had us up for a nice dinner and then we headed to my sisters to see my parents who drove up for the weekend.
Someone once told me the way you spend the first day of the year reflects on how your year will go... so I think were off to a good start.

The Reason for the Season

I'm sure like everyone else we had a great Christmas. We were able to spend time with the family, play games, relax,and eat and eat and eat.
My sister in law Kimi told me she was expecting me to have some fun activities planned to keep her entertained since the grand kids weren't coming this year so in case you ever have to entertain a 27 year old girl here are some ideas... make a gingerbread house, take her sledding, build a snowman, act out the Nativity scene, and have plenty of board games on hand. I think she along with everyone else had a great time this week, I know I did. Although we were glad to see the kids when they did come. We let them play Rock Band which they loved and they were really good at it to. We are really grateful for our families and love that we got to spend time with them over the holiday.
All in all we had a fun filled holiday and got everything we needed and wanted.









Like I said we all had our wants and needs met... who's was a want and who's was a need Im not sure.
