We may not have as much as some, but We are truly blessed and have so much to be grateful for. We have a warm loving home, food on our table, all the blessings of the gospel, the love of our Heavenly Father and the most WONDERFUL family.
We have everything we need and work for everything we want.
We had a fun Thanksgiving this year with plenty of food, games, and quality family time. This is Dave's absolute favorite holiday for many reasons, and I enjoy it because it makes you take a step back and look at your life and just be grateful for the things you have and enjoy the small things. Parx LOVED playing with his cousins. He wanted to be where ever they were. It was so funny to watch him follow Lori and Josh around because he kept getting into everything they had. They stared calling him Parxilla because he was just a little destroyer. But they were all so sweet to him.
I found this quote and really love it. It reminds us to always be grateful for the things in our lives.

11.11.11
What a great day to celebrate turning 8 months old. To celebrate we took naps, visited the cousins, ran a few errands, played with toys, took pictures and had a bath!
- Getting into EVERYTHING
- Scooting/crawling from room to room
- You love standing up to the coffee table and have learned how to pull your self up to it
- You love books and will even let me read you a SHORT one
- When ever music comes on you dance by shaking your head
- You will actually watch Disney movies (mom and dad will turn one on in the morning when you wake up to early)
- You are such a smiley sweet baby
- When you sleep you like to smash your head into the corner of your crib or into pillows
- Weighing in right around 20 pounds
- You just started waking up at night, you will sit your self up screaming for mom. I'm really hoping you're cutting a tooth cause I don't love this new night feed.
- You now have eczema from the cold weather so we have to use better lotion that doesn't smell as good:(
- Separation anxiety has set in. If someone else is holding you you have to be able to see mom
- You fight your second nap of the day I usually have to lay with you which MOST of the time I don't mind
How is it
possible that out of all the LITTLE BOYS
in the whole world......
We got the best one?

Sometimes it takes effort. You have to plan something, call sometime, or make
up a reason to get in contact and keep contact with family. If you don't, you
end up with nothing. If you do, you end up with a relationship. My Relief
Society President said " Enjoy the Complexities of Family. The alternative is
worse." We can be complex sometimes - some relationships are hard. The require
patience, unconditional love, and understanding. You have to be compassionate
and sometimes overly kind. But in the end it is worth it. Becasue in the end, it
is all we have.

Halloween
Holidays with kids really are more fun. Maybe it's because you can dress them up and they can't stop you (even though he tried his hardest to stop me from putting on his whiskers) or maybe they give us an excuse to act like a kids ourselves. Either way we had a great Halloween.
I had to work for a little while, which was fine cause it gave me a reason to dress up for a little bit. Then that night we took the cutest tiger out to visit Gma and Gpa and the cousins.
And still made it to bed before 8pm.
