The other day I was folding laundry and Parx started "helping" me. So I was trying to get him to pick up the clothes and hand them to me. He wasn't seeing what I wanted him to do so I tried snapping and pointing to the clothes. Well he "snapped" and pointed right back at me. It was so funny!

Boy: A noise with dirt on it.

It must be the luck of the Irish, Parx took his first steps today! And of course he was carrying his golf club.
He has been playing with the idea of this for a few days but today he had the courage and just took off. We are very happy, proud and a little nervous.

12 months

Seriously I can't believe how fast this past year went by. There were days that seemed to go on forever and I didn't think we would survive but we did. Well if we could just figure out nap schedule we would be awesome and things really couldn't get better.

• Love the fridge and the drawer under the stove, you store things in there
• You are such a good eater, we haven't found anything you wont eat. Last night we went out to dinner and you wanted the onion rings so we let you try them and you LOVED them?!?!?
• Standing on your own, you have only taken one step once. Crawling is so much faster for you.
• You fight mom with your naps, its like you know you can get away with it. But with Dad its all business. Your out in 5 min. This is really getting to mom! Not funny Kid!!!
• Your favorite toy is your golf clubs. You always have at least one at all time.
• You have the CUTEST laugh
• You fake laugh and cough now and think its hilarious
• Still love baths and will go to it multiple times a day and try to climb in
• You crawl on your feet now instead of your knees. Im sure you ll be walking soon enough
• Mom and Dad love when you will cuddle on our laps and watch a cartoon or whatever for a min with us.
• You know how to turn the tv on
• You push the main button on our iPhones, then you use your pointer finger and drag it on the screen

After one too many ear infections we decided it was time to do tubes and take out Parx adenoids. So we were up and out of the house early and at the hospital at 6:45 today. It took awhile to get things started.They took him at 7:45 to do the surgery. They told us it would be about 20-30 mins So after 45 I was starting to wonder... But Dave kept saying maybe it took the Dr a min to get in there or whatever. But after an hour the Dr came in and told us they still had him and they had found a swollen lymphoid or something in the back of his throat that was abnormal and made him a little nervous so they wanted to biopsy it or try to remove it. We told him to go ahead. After another 30 min he came back with a syringe of puss and blood and explained it was a abscess and asked if he had been sick. When we said no not really he was surprised and said something like that would cause others to be really sick and uncomfortable. And for a child it was a large amount. But of course our little peanut is strong. It was funny because Dave said Oh he must be like his mom and strong even when he is sick not like the Webb boys. Haha his words not mine!

Any way we were so grateful it was that and not something more serious. Shortly after that they had him back to us.

That's when I learned one of the hardest things you go through as a parent has to be watching your child hurt and not being able to do a thing about it. He was confused, mad, and just didn't know what he wanted. So Dave and I were no help and it was painful all around. But he is doing much better now that we have had him home, feed him and he has got a few good naps.
I am grateful of the power of the priesthood and the comfort that you can have from it and the spirit you get from a blessing and prayers. Also for modern medicine. Lets hope this was all worth it and we no longer have stinking ear infections.

Every time the fridge is open Parx gets in there and gets, well whatever he wants.
I love the look on his face. He knows he's Busted!

Parx's Birthday Party

We had Parx's party the weekend before his actual birthday because Krew was being blessed so all my family was in town for the weekend. It was so fun and turned out awesome. I loved the theme we did and thought it was so cute. He was very spoiled, I mean loved. I told Dave he made out better that the both of us combined on our birthdays. But he is such a great kid we can't help but love him, I mean spoil. I know all parties are like this but I feel like I planned, and worked on it for so long that it was over before I even realized. I just can't believe it's over and we have a one year old.
